I'm following an example. All of my things are now removed from public eye, I killed off my journals, and I'm never uploading anything to this site again, until a certain policy is changed.

The user ~saddentiger23 has blatantly traced and ripped off the images of the artists *weremagnus and ~neogeen . Both artists as well as fans know this is a copyright violation, and requested the user's art be lifted off. But that was not to be.

This is what we call a loophole, people, at least how I believe it. I am under the belief tjhat many many very good artists had their things ripped off via tracing/redrawing, and DeviantArt got sick of deleting them all, so they made this bullshit loophole to save themselves the trouble, but fail to realize that this doesn't stop it from being illegal and a copyright violation, AND IT DOESN'T STOP IT FROM BEING ART THEFT. Sure this belief is cynical, but guess what? I don't care. After everything I've seen in comments (that have now been deleted, mind you), I am under the belief that this policy was done out of laziness, and I will not except any other explanation. (because they have all been logically debunked already)

After our beloved admin had his logic on the policy blasted out of the water by several users, he disabled comments on the deviation and let the ripped off artwork remain. Because of this, Magnus and Geen have now left DeviantArt, ~ jaxxblackfox has threatened to, and I'm sure countless others have threatened to leave, will leave, or have left already. Because they don't want to be part of this crap.

I'm not as wonderful an artist as Magnus or Geen, or maybe *Kuitsuku , who has her stuff ripped off constantly. I'm likely not a target for people who rip off an artist's works for whatever reason. But I'm still not going to sit here and upload my works to a website who refuses to do something about it LIKE THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO. It may not be _direct_ art theft, BUT IT IS ART THEFT NONETHELESS. YOU SHOULD NOT ALLOW IT, YOU SHOULD NOT HIDE BEHIND FLAWED POLICIES, YOU SHOULD NOT MAKE EXCUSES TO DEFEND THOSE POLICIES, AND YOU *SHOULD* RESPECT THE ARTISTS WHO WANT YOU TO REMOVE THE WORK. They are being RIPPED OFF and are UPSET ABOUT IT, and you don't care.

I have no qualms with getting rid of my things from this site until that policy, and any other flawed one, is changed. I'm not very popular, I'm not trying to garner people to like me, to be honest, so I don't need to rely on this site to further my career as a writer.

So I'm sorry for the people who liked my work, but it's in Storage. It will not be removed from Storage ever until DA decides to respect their community and change that policy, and stop people like ~saddentiger23 from disrespecting the good artists. Then my works and all of the comments you nice people have left for me will be revealed again.

For Magnus, Geen, Jaxx, and anyone else. I really doubt you'll even read this at all, but if you do, you should all stick your things into storage as well. Maybe one day DA will fix their policy and respect you as human beings again, and you'll be free to grace us with your wonderful art once more. I'm very sorry it had to happen to you, Magnus and Geen, or anyone else who has had people steal their work and had the administration do nothing about it.

I doubt you'll read this too, :devsaddentiger13: , but I can't attack you. No one who is a fan of Magnus or Geen should personally attack you, because that is low, and that is flaming. Magnus specifically asked that no one attack you. What I am attacking is what you have chosen to do. Surely there's the issue that some people will trace over or copy other artist's works to try and get better at art, (and I cannot say whether that was your intent or not) but you're NOT supposed to upload it to your gallery, BECAUSE IT IS THEFT. I'm pretty sure you've seen the chaos that has erupted on your userpage and in your deviations, but you haven't said anything. I respectfully ask you to remove your artwork that is a copy of the work of Magnus, Geen, or ANYONE ELSE. If you don't, you're going to be thought of as a crook in my mind until you do. Further your talents as an artist and upload YOUR OWN ORIGINAL WORKS AND DESIGNS. Until then, you're a thief.

I bet many of the DA admins are good people. They're probably great people, I don't know them personally, I'm not going to attack any of them like they were a plague. But that policy is a LOOPHOLE, and it is UNFORGIVABLE. I don't care what reasoning anyone has to give me, or any adminstrator's journal they want to link to me, I don't care. That policy deserves to be FIXED. SADDENTIGER'S ART IS 100% THEFT.

I'm still pretty much a member here, since DA never deletes accounts. I have many great artists and several friends I watch here, as well as many Clubs I'm in. I'll still be around to leave you guys comments and grace you with a Favorite every once in a while, but as far as my userpage goes, it's dead. No more Deviations, no more Journals, no more Stats, nothing. Don't tell me not to give up and to keep fighting, because like I said, I'm not popular enough to care, and also: This IS my way of fighting, whether it works or not. I'm not going to bother caring anymore.
